Job description:
As the Safety Manager for Commercial Mission Critical/Data Centers, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing workplace safety. Your responsibilities will include planning, implementing, and supervising project safety guidelines to ensure compliance with the Caddell Corporate Safety Program throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with the Corporate Safety Manager to develop comprehensive safe work plans tailored for all project phases and crew tasks.

Your daily tasks will involve conducting thorough safety inspections of active work areas and documenting findings, as well as consulting with field staff on safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Additionally, you will facilitate initial safety orientation sessions for new hires and monitor housekeeping practices to maintain a clean and secure work environment. As the construction safety liaison, you will engage with both the project owner and subcontractors, prepare and submit required safety reports, conduct investigations following accidents or property damage, and undertake further assignments as directed by the Corporate Safety Manager.

This position will require you to operate in construction settings, necessitating travel and full-time commitment. Candidates must possess the capability to crawl, climb, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods, as well as lift and hold over 50 lbs. You should be comfortable working in confined spaces and at extreme heights, adeptly managing tasks while ensuring safety. Exposure to varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and wet environments, is anticipated.

Key qualifications for this role include effective written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, a solid understanding of applicable OSHA regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). You are required to hold certifications such as OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and Competent Persons Training.

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED, coupled with five years of experience in safety management, is required. A four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, alongside ten years of relevant experience, is preferred. Note that educational and experience requirements may vary based on specific job criteria.

This position entails work at a Mission Critical/Data Center project, with eligibility for a market premium in addition to the base salary, which typically ranges from $62,100 to $93,200 annually. We encourage applicants to communicate their compensation expectations during the application process. Caddell is committed to recognizing the experience and qualifications of our candidates to provide attractive and competitive offers.
