Job Summary:
The Sales Associate plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service by selling tires and automotive services, promoting road hazard coverage, recommending services, and highlighting product features. This position is essential in fostering long-term customer loyalty while enhancing the store’s sales and profitability. Additionally, the Sales Associate is responsible for managing repair orders and maintaining a clean, well-merchandised store. Responsibilities:
– Greet customers promptly and courteously
– Answer incoming calls and schedule customer appointments
– Identify customer concerns; may conduct road tests or visual inspections of vehicles
– Create detailed Repair Order Requests (ROR) outlining services to be performed or products to be sold
– Communicate warranties, available options, pricing, and other pertinent information to customers
– Secure customer approval for services prior to conveying orders to service personnel
– Review completed repairs or services with customers and process payments
Desired Qualifications:
– High School diploma or equivalent vocational training
– Proficient in computerized sales and marketing software
– Understanding of automotive/truck tire, lubrication, and maintenance issues
– Experience utilizing Mitchell Repair, All-Data, and vehicle service manuals for troubleshooting purposes
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in automotive tire, lubrication, and maintenance sectors
– Previous experience in retail customer service and customer relations
Preferred Experience:
– Over 3 years of experience as a Sales Associate in an automotive repair store, auto dealership, or similar professional setting
– Tire Manufacturer Sales Skills certification is a plus
