Job description:

We are seeking to hire a personable and experienced Sales Associate/Customer Service Team Leader who is dedicated to achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.

Pay Rate: $11.56/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet customers as they enter the store and provide prompt and efficient service while expressing gratitude for their business.
  • Process customer transactions accurately using an electronic cash register, handling cash, giving change, and managing refunds or exchanges for returned merchandise.
  • Assist with cash management during shift changes by counting the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Utilize specialized equipment to facilitate transactions involving money orders, credit card purchases, checks, and lottery sales and redemptions.
  • Confirm customer identification for restricted sales.
  • Monitor and replenish stock of food service supplies, including cups, lids, condiments, napkins, straws, and stirrers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment used for service or food product stocking through proper cleaning methods.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all store areas by adhering to established cleaning procedures, including countertops, microwaves, shelves, floors, windows, cooler doors, food service equipment, restrooms, and parking lots.
  • Manage waste disposal by cleaning and emptying trash containers.
  • Stock shelves and coolers, ensuring proper rotation, front-facing of products, and removal of damaged or expired merchandise; price items accurately according to the pricing guide.
  • Process vendor deliveries in accordance with company guidelines and complete necessary paperwork for any defective merchandise.
  • Order merchandise as required.
  • Utilize current training materials and complete all necessary training evaluations and documentation.
  • Provide constructive feedback to management regarding training programs and materials.
  • Monitor cash levels and ensure compliance with security procedures throughout your shift.
  • Review job assignments for completeness and assist in fulfilling additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Possess basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Capable of frequently lifting up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
