In this role, you will support store management in key operational tasks, associate development, and the achievement of sales objectives and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
– Meet and exceed both store and individual sales targets
– Assist in training and developing a high-performing sales team
– Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and accountability to staff by upholding company policies and practices
– Execute all opening and closing procedures in accordance with company protocols
– Oversee daily store operations in the absence of store management
– Implement Loss Prevention strategies as needed when management is unavailable
– Communicate effectively with store management regarding operational needs
– Manage cash deposits securely
– Complete assigned tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner
– Fulfill all required training initiatives
– Deliver exceptional, full-service experiences to all customers
– Address and resolve customer concerns efficiently
– Embrace and promote the Journeys culture within the team

Qualifications:
– Previous retail sales experience is preferred
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
– Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
– Drive to succeed in a high-energy retail setting
– Eagerness to learn and grow professionally
– Completion of necessary training programs leading to the Sales Lead position or equivalent training
– Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
– Physical capability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
– Ability to stand for extended periods
– Must be at least 18 years of age*
