The Opportunity:
As a Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in managing existing customer accounts while actively pursuing new opportunities to meet annual sales objectives. This position encompasses nurturing current customer relationships, prospecting for new clients, collaborating with management on budget planning, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies.
How You Will Impact WestRock:
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the industry and target customers to identify opportunities that align with WestRock’s sales strategy.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of WestRock products and pricing structures to effectively address customer inquiries and resolve issues.
- Clearly communicate sales vision and strategy to recognize leads for new business, manage prospects, and establish a strong sales pipeline.
- Achieve or exceed individual budgeted and volume sales goals, contributing to the organization’s annual targets.
- Formulate and implement account strategies tailored to both new and existing customers, ensuring a personalized experience.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries regarding pricing, product availability, and order fulfillment activities.
- Utilize Salesforce.com to manage customer Service Level Execution Agreements (SLEA) and payment terms.
- Conduct both scheduled and cold call prospecting to secure appointments with key decision-makers.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals, and follow up with influential stakeholders.
- Identify and qualify prospective customers in alignment with the sales strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the effective execution of the overall sales strategy and identify opportunities to enhance margins.
- Oversee customer engagement throughout the sales lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and fostering customer satisfaction.
What You Need to Succeed:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of experience interacting with customers in a sales environment is required.
- Proven experience in Business to Business (B2B) sales.
- Proficiency with the Salesforce.com application.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
