AI Pay Analysis: To determine the competitiveness of the hourly rate for a “School Custodian” in Detroit, MI, it is essential to compare it to industry standards and regional pay scales. As of late 2023, school custodians in Detroit typically earn between $12 to $20 per hour, depending on experience, specific school district policies, and the extent of job responsibilities. If the provided hourly rate falls within this range, it can be considered competitive; rates significantly below $12 may indicate a lack of alignment with the market, whereas those above $20 may suggest a more specialized role or additional responsibilities.
