Job description:
The Security Analyst position is an integral part of the Security Operations Team, responsible for reviewing and remediating cyber incidents and vulnerabilities identified by IT-level analysts. This role collaborates closely with IT security specialists and managers to uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data. A primary focus of this position is on network security and system administration.

Key Responsibilities:
– Review and validate security procedures to ensure robust protocols are in place for identifying and classifying cyber events.
– Investigate all identified issues with security operations tools promptly and thoroughly.
– Identify, review, and validate the specifications and implementation of security hardware and software, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
– Administer proxy servers and information systems effectively.
– Manage the administration of the endpoint detection and response server and its agents.
– Oversee the administration of intrusion protection and intrusion detection systems.
– Deliver exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and clients.

Required Skills:
– A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Security.
– Proficiency in Linux, Windows, and Unix operating systems.
– Experience utilizing enterprise packet capture tools.
– Demonstrated expertise in the daily administration, configuration, deployment, and architecture of security network tools and hardware.
– Experience with the configuration and administration of network taps.
– Ability to engineer security rules while employing industry best practices.
– Familiarity with integrating threat intelligence feeds.
– Competence in subnetting.
