SCOPE: Event Staff Security Officers are expected to leverage their exceptional customer service skills to manage crowd control at events ranging from concerts to trade shows. They play an essential role in ensuring the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at-large and intimate events.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Event Staff Dock Worker at DK Security, your responsibilities will be tailored to the client location and may include:
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons, guests, and performers
- Upholding hospitality and security standards with clients, guests, and colleagues
- Managing access control
- Adhering to venue-specific guidelines
- Conducting foot patrols
- Directing and checking trucks in and out of loading docks
- Reading and planning work orders
SUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will be demonstrated through:
- Reliability: Arriving on time for shifts, dressed in the prescribed uniform, and ready for duty.
- Friendly Disposition: Balancing exceptional customer service with the enforcement of client policies and rules.
- Adherence to Policies: Reading and interpreting written guidelines, following outlined procedures, and completing all tasks throughout your shift.
- Proficiency in De-escalation Techniques: Effectively diffusing situations using verbal communication tactics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- No felony convictions; must pass a criminal background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills are essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for 4-8 hour shifts.
- Readiness to respond to emergency situations.
- Capability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Proficient hearing for conversations in noisy environments, either in person or via two-way radio.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
