Role Overview

In the capacity of Security & IT Administrator at Bindplane, you will be integral to our operational framework, overseeing IT management and security initiatives. You will serve as the primary contact for ensuring the smooth functioning of our internal systems while spearheading security measures across the organization. Your responsibilities will include protecting our cloud environments, reinforcing product security, and ensuring compliance with leading industry standards. Responsibilities
Security Management

  • Maintain and revise security policies, including the Information Security Policy, Data Retention guidelines, and Risk Management protocols.
  • Lead Security Advisory Board meetings and coordinate comprehensive security initiatives.
  • Conduct annual risk assessments and maintain an up-to-date risk register.
  • Manage the vendor assessment program, inclusive of reviewing security documentation submitted by vendors.
  • Oversee compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other certification processes to ensure our SaaS products meet industry standards.
  • Respond to security-related inquiries from customers and engage in RFPs concerning our product security practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices and conduct security testing.
  • Ensure data security through appropriate access controls, encryption measures, and audit procedures.
  • Guide the implementation of security controls for cloud systems, primarily Google Cloud, that host our SaaS applications.
  • Develop and enforce security standards throughout our software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance of our product with security requirements outlined in customer and partner agreements.
  • Support incident response planning and conducting exercises related to infrastructure and product security events.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for all employees.

IT Administration

  • Manage employee accounts and services across Google Workspace, SaaS applications, and development platforms.
  • Lead employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely and accurate account provisioning and de-provisioning.
  • Administer and support the lifecycle of mobile devices, laptops, and other hardware.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for IT systems and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.

Requirements
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT administration and information security, particularly within SaaS environments (Required).
  • Proven experience managing Google Workspace and other cloud-based productivity tools (Required).
  • Strong background in account lifecycle management and identity systems (Required).
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, including SOC 2, NIST, and ISO 27001 (Required).
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud security, specifically Google Cloud Platform (Required).
  • Extensive experience managing compliance and certification processes (Required).
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills (Required).
  • Understanding of DevOps and software development processes (Required).
  • Experience with implementing and managing endpoint security solutions (Required).
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP or CISM (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry or observability platforms (Preferred).
  • Background in software development or engineering (Preferred).
  • Experience with incident response and security event management (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of automated security tooling and controls (Preferred).
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (Preferred).
