Job Title: Security Professional Weekends

Company: Allied Universal

Location: Blue Ash, OH

Pay: $17.45 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $17.45 for a “Security Professional Weekends” role in Blue Ash, OH, is somewhat competitive but may be on the lower end of the spectrum. In general, security professionals in Ohio can earn an hourly wage ranging from around $15 to $25, depending on experience, specific job responsibilities, and the hiring company. While $17.45 is aligned with entry-level positions or those requiring minimal experience, more experienced security personnel or those working in specialized or higher-risk environments typically earn higher wages. Additionally, considering that this position is for weekends, which often command premium pay, the rate might not fully reflect the demand for weekend coverage in this field. Overall, while the rate is acceptable, it may need to be adjusted to attract more qualified candidates particularly for weekend shifts.

Job description:

Allied Universal®, North America’s premier security and facility services provider, is dedicated to offering fulfilling careers that instill a sense of purpose. Within our dynamic, diverse, and inclusive work environment, you will be part of a team that cultivates a culture reflective of the communities and customers we support. Additionally, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required for this assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough security patrols of hospital grounds, documenting any unusual conditions that may pose security risks or safety threats.

  • Initiate alarms or contact emergency services in instances of fire or unauthorized presence.
  • Issue warnings to individuals violating hospital rules, including loitering and possession of prohibited items.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to ensure that only authorized individuals access the hospital and that no unauthorized items are brought in or out.
  • Observe departing personnel to safeguard against theft and ensure compliance with removal protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare reports on accidents or suspicious activities, maintaining necessary documentation.

Qualifications (Must Have):

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license for operating company or customer vehicles.
  • Compliance with state and local licensing requirements, which may be necessary prior to employment.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of verifiable employment experience in customer service or the protective services industry, preferably in security, healthcare, military, law enforcement, or corrections.

  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or a related field.
  • A minimum of eight or more years of service in any military branch.
  • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice, combined with current or prior active military service.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive health insurance and 401(k) options for full-time employees.
  • Flexible scheduling that aligns with personal life goals.
  • Ongoing paid training and opportunities for career advancement.
