In this role, you will be expected to acquire a thorough understanding of business needs and recommend appropriate architectural solutions. Responsibilities

  • Ensure the architectural integrity of projects while managing relationships with other initiatives within the business domain.
  • Stay abreast of the latest architectural trends, technologies, solutions, and industry developments.
  • Collaborate with the team responsible for high-level architecture and design of project solutions.
  • Evaluate various technical solution proposals based on customer requirements, product knowledge, and system processes.
  • Conceptualize innovative solutions and apply problem-solving skills to address customer opportunities and challenges.
  • Assess business, information, application, and technology perspectives of the solution approach, identifying potential risks.
  • Contribute to Cardinal Health’s enterprise architecture standards and promote the adoption of standard project frameworks, methodologies, and procedures.
  • Translate complex business processes and strategies into technical solutions through requirements definition and architectural design.
  • Document the overall strategic vision and develop architecture proposals addressing identified solution gaps.
  • Provide architectural consultation, planning guidance, quality assurance, and advice to the project team on approach and solutions.
  • Compile intellectual property and tools from previous solutions to establish best practices or for reuse.
  • Offer technical leadership, ensuring the ongoing delivery of architectural designs, strategies, and plans.
  • Influence stakeholders and project team members regarding proposed design solutions that may set a precedent.
  • Foster an innovative mindset, exploring and identifying analytical and automation opportunities across business functions to drive solution delivery and attain enterprise digital goals.
  • Control and minimize technical debt through strategic solutioning.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8+ years of industry experience is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of programming and application development experience, encompassing technologies such as JAVA and/or .NET, with a focus on Microservices.
  • Experience in Microservices Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture implementation.
  • Required familiarity with cloud computing and data storage technologies, particularly AWS, GCP, Azure, Tanzu, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with optimized relational database design patterns and query building.
  • Exceptional presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to both business stakeholders and technologists.
  • Strong consultative skills at a cross-functional level, including analysis using UML, activity diagrams, business use cases, business rules, and system-level features.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (preferably TOGAF) and a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated project and team management capabilities.
  • Experience in Spark programming is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with integrating packaged applications such as SAP and Salesforce is preferred.
  • Data analysis experience is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Data & Analytics platforms such as GCP BigQuery, GCS, and Tableau is advantageous.
