A successful candidate for this position will demonstrate a strong commitment to collaborating within a dynamic team focused on next-generation cloud-friendly solutions and practices. We seek an individual capable of providing technical expertise and leadership. In this role, you will be expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape to advocate for architectural solutions that align with strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to prepare both Conceptual and High-Level technical design documents by engaging closely with business product owners, technical leads, and solution owners to devise forward-thinking solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the end-to-end architectural integrity of projects while fostering relationships across business initiatives.
- Stay abreast of the latest architectural innovations, technologies, solutions, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with the team to oversee high-level architecture and design for project solutions.
- Analyze various technical solution proposals in accordance with customer requirements, product knowledge, and system processes.
- Conceptualize solutions and apply problem-solving skills to address customer needs and challenges effectively.
- Assess business, information, application, and technology perspectives of the solution approach to identify potential risks.
- Contribute to Cardinal Health’s enterprise architecture standards, promoting the adoption of established project frameworks, methodologies, and procedures.
- Translate complex business processes and strategies into technical solutions through comprehensive requirements definitions and architectural designs.
- Document the overarching strategic vision and create architectural proposals addressing identified solution gaps.
- Provide architectural counsel, planning guidance, and quality assurance to project teams regarding their approaches and solutions.
- Compile intellectual property and tools from previous solutions for development into best practices or reusable assets.
- Serve as a technical leader, ensuring the ongoing delivery of architectural design, strategies, and plans.
- Influence stakeholders and project team members regarding proposed design solutions that may set benchmarks for future initiatives.
- Foster an innovative mindset, exploring and identifying analytical and automation opportunities across business functions and processes to enhance solution delivery and meet enterprise digital objectives.
- Control and minimize technical debt through strategic solutioning techniques.
- Encourage collaboration and engagement within the team.
- Participate actively in all stages of the application lifecycle and in the review of end-to-end solution processes.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of industry experience is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.
- At least 5 years of programming and application development experience in technologies such as JAVA and/or .NET, and Microservices.
- Proven experience with Microservices Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture implementation.
- Proficiency in cloud computing and data storage technologies, including AWS, GCP, Azure, Tanzu, and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in optimized relational database design patterns and query construction.
- Exceptional presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly to both business stakeholders and technical audiences.
- Strong consultative skills and proficiency in cross-functional analysis, including UML, activity diagrams, business use cases, business rules, and system-level features.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks, particularly TOGAF, and a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Proven project and team management capabilities.
- Experience in Spark programming is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with integrating packaged applications such as SAP and Salesforce is preferred.
- Data analysis experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Data & Analytics platforms, such as GCP BigQuery, GCS, and Tableau, is desirable.
