U.S. Bank is currently seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer in Columbus, OH.

Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Information Security Engineer will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, evaluating, testing, debugging, and implementing enhancements to access controls, thereby mitigating the risks associated with access control failures. This role necessitates strong analytical and technical skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate with auditors and present Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and understanding IAM certification processes, access controls, account inventories with ownership and lifecycle management, as well as regional regulatory and approval requirements.
  • Developing reusable prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions.
  • Leading the technical aspects of IAM solutions while leveraging professional services.
  • Assisting in the creation and communication of the department’s long-term strategy.
  • Collaborating with IT security, risk, and compliance teams to interpret and enforce policies and standards, ensuring they are adhered to by new Access Control and Systems Account Inventory with Lifecycle Management solutions.
  • Conducting application development utilizing Java and/or .NET technologies, including Web Services APIs, JavaScript, XML, JSON, and AJAX.
  • Performing SQL query development, tuning, optimization, and handling Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) operations, as well as manipulating large datasets.

This position may offer the opportunity to work remotely, provided you reside within commuting distance of the worksite. Multiple positions are available.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least a Master’s degree or a foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering, along with a minimum of 2 years (24 months) of experience in a role such as an information security engineer or architect, or in a closely related field.

Required Skills/Experience:
Qualified candidates should demonstrate at least 2 years (24 months) of experience with the following:

  • Working with IAM solution design, implementation, and transformation activities.
  • Designing, developing, deploying, and operating IAM solutions from conception through to production.
  • Developing rule engines to identify data control gaps across multiple systems within the IAM domain.
  • Conducting internal audits.
  • Creating automated processes and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Utilizing tools and technologies such as SQL, PL-SQL, RSA Aveska, Sailpoint Identity IQ, CyberArk, CA PAM, Active Directory, Visual Studio Code, SQL Server Management Studio, and Docker Desktop.

For candidates who do not hold a Master’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering is acceptable, provided they can demonstrate at least 5 years (60 months) of relevant experience, including the skills specified above.

Base pay ranges may vary based on the location of the position. Pay Range: $99,237.00 – $159,400.
