AI Pay Analysis: To effectively evaluate whether the hourly rate for a Senior Microbiologist in Portage, MI is competitive and aligns with industry standards, it’s essential to consider various factors, including regional cost of living, company size, and specific job responsibilities. As of my last update, the average hourly wage for a Senior Microbiologist typically ranges from $35 to $50 per hour nationally, though this can vary based on experience and qualifications. Given that Portage, MI is part of a broader region with a relatively moderate cost of living, an hourly rate at the lower end of this spectrum may be less competitive, while rates above $45 per hour would generally be seen as more attractive. Also, local demand for microbiology professionals, as well as the presence of relevant industries, can influence wage levels. Therefore, without specific figures, a more accurate assessment cannot be made, but understanding the broader context is crucial for determining competitiveness.
