AutoZone’s Full-Time Senior Retail Sales Associate is instrumental in driving sales through exceptional customer service, consistently surpassing customer expectations to deliver a WOW! experience. In this role, the Senior Retail Sales Associate will carry out daily responsibilities while adhering to company policies and procedures, embodying AutoZone’s commitment to Living the Pledge.
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service that creates a memorable shopping experience.
- Complete assigned store tasks efficiently during each shift.
- Operate cash registers in accordance with established cash handling procedures.
- Adhere to company policies and loss prevention measures.
- Maintain a safe work environment, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure store appearance and merchandising standards are met as directed.
- Restock merchandise and organize items in their designated locations.
- Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating products or identifying suitable alternatives.
- Stay informed about product knowledge and current promotions through AutoZone resources.
- Implement GOTTChA practices and assist customers with the installation of wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs.
- Use OBDII tools to read diagnostic codes from customers’ vehicles.
- Demonstrate the ability to diagnose automotive issues and provide effective recommendations.
- Communicate customer concerns and employee matters to management.
- Engage actively in developing enhanced customer service skills.
- Offer honest and reliable advice regarding the best products that meet customers’ needs.
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Fundamental knowledge of automotive parts is necessary.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills are essential.
- Physical ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, to meet business needs.
