As a Senior SQL Server BI Developer (SSIS) at Gainwell, you will leverage your expertise to empower our clients in their mission to improve the health and well-being of the communities they serve. You will collaborate with a team of dedicated individuals who are passionate about delivering innovative solutions to some of healthcare’s most pressing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
– Under general direction, design, create, maintain, deploy, and manage SSIS and SQL applications tailored for internal business teams and external customers.
– Collaborate with IT personnel and business stakeholders to develop and support ETL packages within a compliant, regulated environment.
– Escalate concerns to project management or Team Lead, assist in defining best practices, and recommend improvements to existing processes.
Your Role in Our Mission:
– Engage in Joint Application Design (JAD), Rapid Application Development (RAD), and Design Specifications Document (DSD) sessions to understand business requirements and produce detailed systems design documentation for reports, data interface files, data conversion, and other data exchange methods.
– Develop, test, manage, and implement SSIS Packages from development to production servers, utilizing package configuration.
– Oversee maintenance and administration of SSIS by creating Jobs, Alerts, SQL Mail Agent, and scheduling DTS/SSIS Packages.
– Provide guidance to other developers on complex interfaces, showcasing strong debugging skills.
– Automate the execution of SSIS packages using SQL Server Agent Jobs.
– Contribute proactively to continuous improvement initiatives.
– Diagnose and resolve incident tickets and errors.
– Formulate ETL specifications, data mappings, and other necessary documentation for ETL development.
– Utilize SQL, data models, and schema to conduct data and business analyses.
– Ensure data quality through thorough testing processes.
– Foster positive working relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and stakeholders.
– Support Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, End-to-End System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
Qualifications:
– A minimum of 9 years of experience in application design and development with SQL Server/MS-SQL scripting and SSIS.
– Proficient in building complex queries and reports using Microsoft SQL.
– Strong analytical skills and data analysis capabilities using Microsoft SQL.
– Previous leadership experience, including mentoring and monitoring team performance.
– Preferred experience in the following areas:
– Healthcare plan data with a focus on medical claims and financial processing.
– Member eligibility processing.
– Provider networks.
– MCO contract details, auditing, and reporting in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
