Job Description
Job Title: Server Assistant – Big E’s Downtown GR
Company: Suburban Inns
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $12.48 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $12.48 for a Server Assistant position at Big E’s Downtown GR in Grand Rapids, MI, is generally below the average for similar roles in the area. As of 2023, server assistants and similar positions in service and hospitality typically earn between $13 and $15 per hour, depending on experience and establishment type, with some higher-end venues paying even more. Additionally, minimum wage laws in Michigan and any supplemental tips that might apply to server positions could also influence overall compensation, suggesting that while $12.48 may be in line with or slightly above minimum wage, it may not be competitive when considering the cost of living and the expected earnings in the service industry in Grand Rapids. Thus, from an industry standards perspective, this rate may not attract a large pool of qualified candidates.
