Job description:

Pay: $7 per hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by presenting the menu, offering recommendations, and addressing special dietary needs and preferences.
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated.
  • Keep kitchen staff updated on meal timing and progression.
  • Serve food and beverages to patrons, ensuring all accompaniments and condiments are included.
  • Attend to patron needs by proactively engaging and observing the dining experience.
  • Maintain the table setting by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling beverages, while staying attentive to spills or other needs.
  • Process payments by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, and returning change or receipts to patrons.
  • Uphold sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect both the establishment and its guests.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Completion of some high school education or equivalent.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical skills related to cash handling (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Flexibility in scheduling according to business demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.

Desired Qualifications & Traits:

  • Previous experience as a server is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
