Job description:

Pay: $7 per hour

At Great Wolf Lodge, the Server plays a pivotal role in the dining experience by taking food and beverage orders, serving meals and drinks, and processing transactions, all while engaging with guests in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by presenting the menu, recommending cocktails and appetizers, suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying suitable wines, and addressing any dietary preferences or restrictions.

  • Relay orders to the bar and kitchen by accurately recording patrons’ choices and noting any special dietary needs or requests.

  • Communicate with kitchen staff regarding the timing of meal service.

  • Deliver orders to patrons by retrieving their selections from the bar and kitchen, including any requested accompaniments and condiments.

  • Attend to additional patron needs by proactively inquiring about their requirements and observing the dining experience.

  • Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling water glasses while being vigilant to address any spills or special needs.

  • Manage payments by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, and returning change or receipts to patrons.

  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the establishment by adhering to sanitation policies and alcohol beverage control regulations.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Completion of some high school education or equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical skills as they pertain to cash handling (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
