Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by presenting the menu, recommending cocktails and appetizers, suggesting courses, explaining chef’s specialties, identifying suitable wines, and addressing food preparation inquiries while accommodating special needs and dietary restrictions.
  • Communicate orders to the bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ selections, noting dietary requirements, and special requests.
  • Keep kitchen staff informed regarding the timing of meal progressions.
  • Serve orders by picking up and delivering food and beverages from the bar and kitchen, including necessary accompaniments and condiments.
  • Monitor and respond to patrons’ needs throughout their dining experience.
  • Maintain the table setting, ensuring timely removal of completed courses, replenishment of utensils, refilling water glasses, and addressing spills or special requests.
  • Manage transactions by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, and returning change or credit card slips to patrons.
  • Uphold the establishment’s integrity and safety by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Completed some high school education or equivalent.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) relevant to cash handling.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.

  • Previous server experience.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) technology.
