Job description:

Pay: $7 per hour.

At Great Wolf, the Server is tasked with taking food and beverage orders, serving items, and processing transactions while engaging with our guests in a friendly, positive, and efficient manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by presenting the menu, recommending cocktails and appetizers, suggesting courses, explaining chef’s specialties, identifying suitable wines, and addressing food preparation inquiries while considering special dietary needs and restrictions.
  • Record orders accurately and transmit them to the bar and kitchen, noting any special dietary requirements or requests.
  • Communicate meal progression with the kitchen staff.
  • Serve orders by delivering patrons’ selections from the bar and kitchen, including any requested accompaniments and condiments.
  • Address additional patron needs by proactively inquiring and observing the dining experience.
  • Maintain the table setting by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being attentive to any spills or special requirements.
  • Process payments by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payment, and returning any change or receipts to patrons.
  • Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect both the establishment and guests.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Completion of some high school education or equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency related to cash handling (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate business demands, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
