Dietary Aide – Assisted Living Community

We are seeking enthusiastic Dietary Aides to join our team in an assisted living environment, with a starting wage of $13.50 per hour. Part-time positions are available with shifts from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, including a rotating schedule every other weekend and holiday.

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Dietary Aide will be responsible for setting tables, bussing tables, washing dishes, assisting the cook as needed, and completing designated cleaning duties.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability to positively interact with residents and their families, as well as work collaboratively with fellow employees.
  • Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, community officials, referral sources, and the general public.
  • Capability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Compliance with all state health requirements.
  • Obtaining a Food Handler’s Permit (as required by state regulations).
  • Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare, wash, and store dishes in accordance with facility procedures. Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area and assist in serving meals as needed. Collaborate with cooks in cleaning food serving areas and equipment.
  • Set up serving carts for each meal and assist in serving meals to residents according to facility procedures. Bus tables, prepare dishes for washing, and clean dining room tables and chairs as necessary. Sweep and maintain cleanliness in the dining area, and set tables for future meals while focusing on exceptional customer service. Work as part of the Food Services team to ensure the efficient, safe operation of the kitchen, adhering to all safety and sanitation practices.
  • Perform related duties as required or directed.
