Job description:

DIETARY AIDE – ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY:
Starting wage: $13.50 per hour.
Part-time shifts available from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, including a rotating schedule every other weekend and holiday.

Summary:
The Dietary Aide is responsible for setting and bussing tables, washing dishes, assisting cooks as needed, and completing various cleaning duties.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents and their families, and work collaboratively with fellow staff members.
  • Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, community officials, referral sources, and the general public.
  • Capacity to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Compliance with all state health requirements.
  • Acquisition of a Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare, wash, and store dishes according to facility procedures, and maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing area.
  • Set up serving carts for each meal, serve meals to residents’ tables in accordance with facility procedures, and bus tables, preparing dishes for washing.
  • Clean dining room tables and chairs as required, sweep and maintain the dining room area, and set tables for subsequent meals.
  • Focus on delivering excellent customer service in food service operations.
  • Collaborate as a member of the Food Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe kitchen operations while adhering to sanitation practices.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.
