Position Summary:
The Server is responsible for embodying our Mission Statement through exceptional daily service to both internal and external guests. This role emphasizes friendly and timely interactions with all guests, engaging in suggestive selling, answering queries, taking and delivering orders, and ensuring each guest receives their correct food and beverage selections.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consistently exceed First Class Service standards in interactions with guests, business partners, and colleagues.
- Uphold and promote the company’s core values by treating guests and peers with respect and integrity.
- Effectively present the menu, respond to inquiries, and provide recommendations related to food and service.
- Assess guest needs and respond to additional requests, while evaluating when meals have been completed.
- Maintain a knowledgeable and enthusiastic approach toward the restaurant’s menu offerings and products.
- Accurately calculate bills and process payments in accordance with established guidelines.
- Conduct all point of sale transactions swiftly and efficiently, adhering to the company’s Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures.
- Stay informed about daily specials, as well as the full range of liquor, beer, wine, menu items, and desserts.
- Foster guest loyalty and refine selling skills through the utilization of available training resources.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide support in other operational areas of the restaurant as needed, including seating customers, answering phone calls, stocking, cleaning, and documentation.
- Address guest concerns appropriately and efficiently.
- Complete all assigned side work duties, which may include sweeping and mopping.
- Maintain current adult beverage certification and ensure responsible service of alcohol.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, particularly those related to food safety.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in handling cash and operating a point of sale system.
- Ability to work various shifts in a collaborative team environment, 365 days a year.
- Excellent customer service skills with effective communication abilities.
- Self-driven and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
