Job description:

This position is strictly an onsite role located in Columbus, OH, and candidates must be residents of Ohio.

Certifications:

The successful candidate will join the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) Information Technology ServiceNow Delivery Team, specifically focusing on the ServiceNow product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in configuring the ServiceNow PSDS to align with specific operational requirements.
  • Maintain integrations between ServiceNow and various external applications.
  • Support ongoing and periodic IT security audits of the system.
  • Develop solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Create and manage Service Catalog items.
  • Collaborate with program/project management to formulate appropriate technical solutions, requirements, and design review sessions.

Experience:

  • Expertise in designing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform that effectively address communicated business requirements, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging issues within existing applications.
  • Ability to resolve platform issues utilizing system logs and other debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with various browser-based debugging tools, such as Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox.
  • Competence in conducting demonstrations for client stakeholders and gathering constructive feedback.
  • Experience working within an Agile project management framework.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively facilitate meetings and work sessions.
  • Demonstrated experience in data conversion and integration, including real-time and batch processing, mapping, transformations, bulk data import/export, mass updates, cutover planning, and exception handling.

Required Experience:

  • Proficient in ServiceNow development using both server and client-side APIs.
  • Experience with ServiceNow development involving forms, workflows, and Service Portal.
  • Skilled in configuring and debugging role/group-based Access Control Lists (ACLs).
  • Experience in building custom workflows.
  • Knowledge of Service Portal development, including Widgets, Service Portal Pages, and AngularJS.
  • General IT experience, with a preference for candidates who have consulting experience.
