Job description:
AutoZone’s Part-Time Shift Supervisors play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in driving company initiatives and maximizing productivity. They are responsible for training skilled AutoZoners within a safe environment while effectively promoting sales, managing expenses and shrinkage, and ensuring adherence to company policies. The aim is to consistently deliver an outstanding customer experience during assigned shifts by embodying the principles of Living the Pledge daily.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
– Assume responsibility for store operations and the commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager during assigned shifts.
– Aid in the management of the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure timely servicing of commercial accounts and deliveries.
– Delegate tasks and ensure prompt completion of store merchandising activities.
– Operate cash registers and adhere to established cash handling protocols, including deposits, petty cash management, and lane accountability.
– Ensure compliance with all company policies and loss prevention procedures.
– Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or identifying suitable alternatives.
– Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that AutoZoners adhere to safety practices, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
– Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security controls.
– Uphold sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
– Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures.
– Manage emergency situations and implement proper emergency protocols.
– Follow appropriate procedures in the event of an accident.
– Provide performance feedback regarding AutoZoners to the Store Manager.
– Assist in monitoring and managing risk and safety activities to maintain a secure work environment.
– Address and resolve customer concerns with the objective of turning complaints into compliments.
– Process returns and manage inventory effectively.
– Communicate issues and concerns regarding AutoZoners to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner.
– Motivate AutoZoners to provide exceptional customer service, enhance productivity, and effectively market products to boost sales and profits.

Position Requirements:
– High School diploma or equivalent.
– ASE certification is preferred.
– Demonstrates a high level of integrity.
– Possesses excellent communication and decision-making skills.
– Ability to drive exceptional customer service.
