Job description:

AutoZone’s Part-Time Shift Supervisors play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in executing company initiatives and maximizing productivity within the store. This position involves training and developing high-performing associates in a safe environment while driving sales, managing expenses and shrink, and adhering to company procedures in line with AutoZone’s standards. During assigned shifts, Part-Time Shift Supervisors are dedicated to exceeding customer expectations by delivering a remarkable shopping experience, consistently embodying the company’s core values.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
  • Assume responsibility for the overall operation of the store and the commercial department during the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager on assigned shifts.
  • Support the management of the Commercial and Hub Departments (where applicable) to ensure the comprehensive servicing of commercial accounts and timely deliveries.
  • Delegate tasks and ensure store merchandising assignments are completed promptly.
  • Operate cash registers and adhere to established cash handling procedures, including deposits, petty cash management, and lane accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and loss prevention protocols.
  • Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or identifying suitable alternatives.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to safety practices, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security measures.
  • Uphold sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
  • Conduct and verify all opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage emergency situations effectively, following appropriate emergency protocols.
  • Adhere to proper accident reporting procedures.
  • Provide performance feedback regarding AutoZoners to the Store Manager.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing activities related to Risk & Safety Management to ensure a secure workplace.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns with an objective of transforming complaints into compliments.
  • Process returns and effectively manage inventory levels.
  • Communicate any AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Inspire AutoZoners to deliver outstanding customer service, enhance productivity, and maximize product marketing to boost sales and profitability.

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • ASE certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated integrity and strong ethical standards.
