Overview
As a Snow Sport Instructor, you will serve as a professional representative of the Resort, becoming an integral member of a cohesive team dedicated to creating the optimal environment for teaching ski and snowboard lessons. Your role will involve not only working directly with students but also engaging with guests and collaborating with fellow employees.
Essential Functions:
– Acknowledge that exceptional service is our core product, ensuring that guests enjoy memorable vacations.
– Prioritize safety and responsibility for skiers and snowboarders while teaching and participating in activities.
– Instruct group and private lessons of varying skill levels, as assigned.
– Teach students of all ages, genders, and learning abilities, as required.
– Continuously strive to enhance personal skiing and riding abilities, teaching proficiency, and knowledge base.
– Welcome and assist guests in a friendly, respectful, and helpful manner.
– Maintain personal ski and snowboard equipment in a safe, functional, and appealing condition.
– Collaborate with all Resort employees and colleagues in fulfilling job responsibilities.
– Seek innovative ways to enhance service to guests, the Snowsports Department, and the Resort.
Qualifications
– Previous experience as an instructor is preferred.
– Relevant certifications are advantageous.
– Demonstrated exemplary communication and interpersonal skills; a genuine love for interacting with people is essential.
– Adaptability and a willingness to learn, grow, and enhance skills are required.
– A high level of energy and enthusiasm must be maintained throughout the role.
– Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, is necessary.
