Job description:
The Senior Disaster Recovery Technical Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing and supporting the disaster recovery (DR) program, ensuring the continuity of business operations in the face of a disaster. This position entails the strategic planning, design, implementation, and rigorous testing of disaster recovery solutions to protect critical systems. The Analyst will conduct assessments of the current infrastructure, make recommendations for enhancements, and manage testing exercises to ensure prompt and efficient recovery of IT systems.

Furthermore, the Analyst will provide expert guidance on best practices in disaster recovery methodologies, maintain comprehensive documentation, and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reinforcing DR processes and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

– Oversee and manage all aspects of the disaster recovery program to guarantee the Client’s ability to restore their systems post-disaster, including conducting DR testing exercises both in-house and at CoLo facilities.
– Develop, document, and test disaster recovery solutions tailored to meet specific business and technological requirements.
– Evaluate existing technology solutions to ensure their appropriateness for evolving business or technological needs, while also recommending alternative technologies as necessary.
– Offer technical expertise in disaster recovery methodologies, including backup and recovery solutions, data replication, failover/failback procedures, and recovery testing.
– Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT disaster recovery projects, encompassing risk assessments, impact analyses, and the development of recovery plans.
– Maintain precise documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and test outcomes, while preparing and delivering status reports on disaster recovery initiatives to senior management and stakeholders.
– Initiate and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT disaster recovery processes and technologies.

Required Qualifications:

– 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure services, with a strong background in infrastructure analysis, deployment, and support.
– In-depth understanding of disaster recovery methodologies, including backup and recovery solutions, data replication, failover/failback procedures, and recovery testing.
– Proven experience collaborating closely with service providers and effectively delegating operational tasks under the direction of a director or manager.
