Position Summary:
The individual in this role will be responsible for preparing coffee shop beverages and food items, efficiently operating the cash register, and ensuring timely and courteous customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare coffee shop beverages by brewing, mixing, and blending according to established standards.
- Prepare food items in accordance with company procedures.
- Adhere to safety guidelines for handling food and beverages while maintaining cleanliness in the work environment.
- Operate the cash register to accurately itemize customer purchases and process various forms of payment, including cash, checks, credit cards, gift certificates, and coupons.
- Stock and rotate coffee items and merchandise displays to ensure availability.
- Maintain knowledge of current store programs and product locations to assist customers effectively.
- Utilize check-stand equipment (e.g., register) and coffee shop equipment efficiently.
- Notify the department lead or manager of any necessary product and supply orders.
- Comply with company policies pertaining to security, cash handling, and product management, including the handling of damaged or spoiled products.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked department while ensuring compliance with company safety and sanitation standards.
- Communicate company programs (e.g., loyalty program, in-store specials, coupons) to customers and exemplify high standards of service to foster a customer-oriented environment.
- Adhere to all PPE and safety guidelines, as well as food safety and cleaning expectations.
- Follow guest experience guidelines.
- May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.

Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- One year of retail or related experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills, with attention to detail. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
Physical Requirements:
