The Barista is responsible for selling and crafting Starbucks coffee beverages in accordance with established Starbucks standards. This position requires delivering warm hospitality and exceptional customer service through extensive product knowledge.

Essential Functions:

• Exhibit current and proficient knowledge of coffee brewing methods, cold beverage preparation, espresso bar techniques, and pastry station operations.
• Adhere to company standards and maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment in compliance with Health Department regulations.
• Implement Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills to create an extraordinary customer experience.
• Educate customers on our delectable food and beverage offerings, providing samples as needed.
• Perform specific duties and responsibilities associated with assigned stations.
• Open and/or close the service area by following the appropriate checklist, confirming completion with the Manager on Duty before departing.
• Maintain proper stock levels and exemplary product presentation standards.
• Prepare and present freshly made products according to Starbucks recipes, while meeting service speed standards.
• Comply with Starbucks merchandising and signage standards.
• Uphold personal hygiene and professional appearance to adhere to company, Starbucks, and Health Department guidelines.
