Job description:
This position is responsible for preparing a variety of beverages and food items at our coffee shop, while ensuring an efficient and courteous customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare coffee shop beverages by brewing, mixing, and blending in accordance with established standards.
– Prepare food items following set procedures to maintain quality and safety.
– Adhere to safety guidelines for the handling of food and beverages, ensuring cleanliness in the work environment.
– Operate the cash register to accurately itemize purchases and process various forms of payment, including cash, checks, credit cards, gift certificates, and coupons.
– Stock and rotate coffee items and merchandise displays to maintain an appealing presentation.
– Maintain thorough knowledge of current store programs and product locations to assist customers effectively.
– Utilize cash register and coffee shop equipment efficiently according to operational guidelines.
– Notify the department lead or manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
– Comply with company policies related to security, cash handling, and product management, including the handling of damaged or spoiled goods.
– Ensure the department remains clean, well-stocked, and in compliance with company safety and sanitation standards.
– Communicate upcoming company programs, in-store specials, and promotions to customers, exemplifying exceptional customer service.
– Adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety guidelines.
– Follow food safety and cleaning expectations diligently.
– Uphold guest experience standards and may be assigned tasks in other departments as needed based on customer experience requirements.

Qualifications:
– A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
– One year of retail or related experience is preferred.

– Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
