Position Summary:
This role involves the preparation of coffee shop beverages and food items, operation of the cash register, and efficient receipt of payments, all while showcasing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare coffee shop beverages, brewing, mixing, and blending in accordance with established standards.
– Prepare food items following set procedures.
– Ensure that food and beverages are handled safely and in compliance with established guidelines, while maintaining a clean work environment.
– Operate the cash register to accurately itemize customer purchases and process various payment methods, including cash, checks, credit cards, gift certificates, and coupons.
– Stock items appropriately and rotate coffee products and merchandise displays.
– Maintain an understanding of current store programs and product locations.
– Demonstrate proficiency in the use of cash register and coffee shop equipment for efficient operation.
– Notify the department lead or manager of any necessary product and supply orders.
– Adhere to company policies regarding security, cash handling, product management (including damaged or spoiled products), and other related areas.
– Maintain a clean and well-stocked department, ensuring compliance with company safety and sanitation procedures.
– Communicate information regarding company programs, in-store specials, and coupons to customers, embodying high standards of service to enhance the customer experience.
– Follow all PPE and safety guidelines consistently.
– Adhere to food safety and cleaning expectations.
– Follow guest experience guidelines diligently.
– Be flexible to assist in other departments based on customer experience needs.
– Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or GED preferred.
– A minimum of one year of retail or related experience is preferred.
– Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
– Excellent customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
