Job description:
The primary responsibility of the Front Desk Associate is to deliver an outstanding guest experience while fulfilling Veridea’s sales-related objectives. A successful Front Desk Associate will provide guests with concierge-style, solution-oriented service while functioning as an in-house sales representative.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as a concierge for guests, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the local area and its offerings. Engage with guests in a sincere, professional, and courteous manner, consistently exceeding expectations to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Function as an in-house sales representative for the hotel. Interact with guests, gather relevant information, and relay this information to hotel management for contract negotiation.
a. Complete all reporting requirements as mandated by the Director of Revenues and Sales.
b. Utilize effective sales techniques to promote the property, maximizing both occupancy and average rates.
Operational Functions:
- Promptly register and process guests during arrival and departure.
- Execute all guest accounting functions in accordance with established hotel operating procedures to guarantee that both guest and house accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all hotel services and facilities.
- Adhere to all credit and inventory control procedures to minimize potential revenue loss.
- Accurately receive and process telephone and walk-in reservations to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Address guest issues, complaints, or problems, going to great lengths to resolve them effectively.
- Operate the telephone system competently and professionally in alignment with Veridea standards.
- Assume the role of manager on duty in the absence of management staff.
- Understand and implement all hotel safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for both employees and guests.
- Keep immediate supervisors informed of all significant issues or unusual circumstances to facilitate prompt corrective action.
- Actively seek out additional responsibilities to enhance the overall operation of the hotel.
