Job description:
Maintain a high standard of overall store ambiance, ensuring cleanliness and recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in navigating the store and locating desired items.
– Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with approved procedures.
– Dust and damp mop floors following established protocols.
– Relocate equipment and products as necessary for thorough cleaning, ensuring items are returned to their proper positions.
– Clean designated areas using the provided materials and equipment.
– Prepare cleaning solutions as needed by mixing water and detergents according to specifications.
– Conduct deep cleaning in key areas of the store, including restrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high-traffic locations to maintain a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff.
– Keep cleaning equipment orderly and notify the supervisor in advance regarding supply replenishment needs.
– Proactively identify areas that require cleaning and take the initiative to complete the task.
– Fulfill all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
– Adhere to all federal, state, and county guidelines when performing tasks.
– Foster positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in challenging situations, in alignment with the organization’s vision and values.
– Serve as a role model for your peers by projecting a positive image.
Additional responsibilities may include:
– Delivering a prompt and friendly checkout experience while adhering to cash handling standards.
– Engaging customers in discussions about our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and facilitating enrollment.
– Assisting with omnichannel processes, including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
– Contributing to the unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
– Supporting shrink and safety initiatives.
– Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and executing Company policies and standards.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
– Previous retail and/or cleaning experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
– Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
– Capacity to navigate the store effectively.
– Regularly engage in bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
– Lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
