Purpose of Role
The Retail Store Manager functions as the "Business Owner" of the store, overseeing merchandising, financial management, sales staff supervision, and overall leadership. This position is responsible for guiding the team to meet sales and profitability objectives while maintaining operational and merchandising excellence to provide a distinctive customer experience unique to Under Armour.

Your Impact
Sales & Omni

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to meet sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze reports and daily sales trends to make strategic business decisions that drive results.
  • Enhance performance through exceptional customer service, effective human resources management, inventory control, and maintaining an inviting store appearance.

Brand Image & Customer Experience

  • Serve as the duty leader, consistently exemplifying the brand’s service standards and sales techniques.
  • Foster customer loyalty through an enriching in-store experience utilizing data capture, endless aisle options, and other omni-channel solutions.

Retail Operations

  • Oversee the handling of merchandise, including receipt, processing, floor sets, markdowns, and replenishment.
  • Ensure the efficiency of all daily operational procedures.
  • Conduct store audits to ensure compliance with loss prevention standards and minimize shrinkage.
  • Manage payroll and scheduling adjustments to maximize productivity and achieve both payroll and sales targets.
  • Direct visual merchandising efforts, including planning, scheduling, and timely execution.
  • Analyze merchandise reports and movement to optimize product presentation.
  • Maintain a safe and organized environment across the sales floor, cash wrap, and fitting room areas.

Leadership & Team Collaboration/Management

  • Inspire and motivate the team through Under Armour’s Core Competencies and functional behaviors.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with teammates, peers, and supervisors to facilitate impactful change.
  • Guide the management team in executing performance management tools effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with the management team to align business strategies and objectives.

  • Evaluate store sales and payroll objectives using relevant reports and adjusting schedules accordingly.
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing team members.
  • Mentor and coach the store leadership team in completing the Division of Responsibilities (DOR).

  • Manage store staffing needs, including seasonal hiring and turnover, while networking, recruiting, and interviewing effectively.

Qualifications
