Job Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, managing the response to all emergency and urgent work required during the week. This role involves determining available hours for future weeks to create a "scheduling bucket" and ensuring the completion of scheduled maintenance tasks. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for guiding technicians and assigning their work orders.
Shift: 3rd Shift Maintenance Supervisor (Sunday – Thursday 9 PM – 7 AM)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in the implementation of best practices through the Management System initiatives, including ISO and KORE Standards.
- Support Key Business Indicators as defined by local leadership and Maintenance System Requirements.
- Provide ongoing technical and proactive system-based training to enhance customer service standards, improve asset reliability, and reduce unscheduled downtime through effective maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Employ Continuous Improvement Process and Root Cause Analysis techniques to enhance asset reliability and foster a proactive maintenance environment.
- Manage and monitor both scheduled and emergency maintenance work through direct reports.
- Schedule and deliver technical, safety, and system-related training while providing decisive leadership in technical competencies, maintenance scheduling, and Parts Room management.
- Collaborate closely with the Risk Management Team regarding the CCCI Contractor Management Policy.
- Ensure adherence to all Quality and Food Safety initiatives.
- Oversee smaller in-house and capital projects, from coordinating Contractors and Vendors to assessing the projects’ financial impact on various cost centers or the Capital Budgeting Process.
- Supervise, lead, and motivate a team to achieve results by effectively communicating company goals, safety protocols, and deadlines.
- Foster teammate development through effective performance management, coaching, and training.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies while maintaining a customer-centric focus.
- Exemplify company values and purpose to inspire servant leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers, PLC Networking, Hydraulics, Electrical Systems, and Beverage Equipment Operations and repair.
- Ability to manage both in-house and capital projects, assessing the scheduling of Contractors and Vendors as well as understanding the projects’ financial implications on the plants’ cost centers or Capital Budgeting Process.
- Flexibility to accommodate a work schedule that may require weekend and holiday hours to meet consumer demand and support capital and non-capital projects.
- Willingness to work in elevated noise conditions necessitating the use of hearing protection.
- Capability to conduct outdoor tasks in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of education beyond high school, either through college or technical school.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school education.
- Over 5 years of work experience in the Food Processing, Beverage, Dairy, or Brewing Industries.
- Direct experience in a Proactive Maintenance System environment is preferred.
- A degree in a technical field, such as engineering, or equivalent experience is advantageous.
- Trade schooling is preferred.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
