As a Support Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in our organization, working independently across various retail locations. Your adept organization and time management skills will be essential in displaying and maintaining our inventory of celebration products, which includes greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush items, and more.

Compensation:

  • The starting pay is $13.50 per hour, with two scheduled increases during the first year of employment (rates are subject to variation based on the work location).
  • Pay will increase to $14.30 after six months of employment.
  • After one year of continued service, the pay will rise to $15.00.

Route and Schedule:
This position will service retail locations at 2111 East Wooster Street, Bowling Green, OH, and 1094 N Main St. The average weekly hours are approximately 8 hours, with the potential to increase to an average of 16 hours per week during holidays. Additional support may be required in the territory, necessitating availability on consecutive days and potential increased hours based on business needs and project assignments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Service assigned stores by merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying items within greeting card departments, maintaining organized backroom areas, and completing other inventory tasks as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with management regarding any questions or concerns about service or scheduling.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment, utilizing strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Foster partnerships and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours.
  • Be available for additional working days and extended hours leading up to and immediately following major holidays.
  • Provide occasional assistance with store resets, which may involve minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as required.
  • Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload in assigned stores using a company-issued tablet.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical Demands:
This position requires work on the sales floor as well as in back stock areas. The ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures weighing up to 40 pounds is essential. You will need to stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout your workday, and a stepstool may be necessary to complete certain tasks.
