Job description:

Our client, a privately held and financially robust company, is seeking a highly skilled Business Application Specialist to play a pivotal role in the management of their ERP systems, primarily focusing on Prophet 21 and JobBOSS. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with various departments, including Sales, Quality, and Purchasing, to ensure that the ERP systems and related tools are effectively aligned with the business’s operational needs. This position primarily operates from the office with predetermined remote working days. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and support ERP systems (Prophet 21 and JobBOSS) to fulfill business requirements.
  • Design and develop reports utilizing tools such as Crystal Reports, Power BI, Phocas, and Grow.
  • Manage and maintain EDI integrations, including Comparatio.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, such as the eCommerce partner American Eagle, to ensure smooth system operations.
  • Administer and maintain database servers utilizing Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Provide technical support to end users, leveraging Jira for efficient ticket management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify system needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Support system upgrades, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain overall system stability.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Technology Manager.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Technology Services or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in administering and managing ERP systems, specifically Prophet 21 and/or JobBOSS, is a mandatory requirement.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing reports using Crystal Reports, Power BI, Phocas, or similar reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of database administration, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with EDI integrations and related technologies.
  • Experience providing end-user support through a ticketing system such as Jira.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and external vendors.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Avalara Tax.
  • Familiarity with GIT (revision control system).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and PowerShell scripting.
  • SQL development experience.
