The Arcadis Intelligence division delivers commercial solutions to a global clientele, specializing in Asset Management and transportation-related software technologies. Reporting to the Sales Operations Director in Arcadis Intelligence, you will significantly influence customer engagement by enhancing our pre-sales and solution demonstration capabilities across our Enterprise Decision Analytics platform. Collaborating closely with the Asset Management Product Sales Director, sales executives, Solutions Domain, and various Product Owners within Intelligence, the Technical Pre-Sales Consultant will serve as a vital liaison among product development, solution delivery functions, and our clientele. Externally, you will effectively communicate the capabilities and offerings of EDA in contexts that resonate with customers, utilizing live demonstrations and persuasive technical bid writing. Internally, you will help convert customer insights into actionable and clear product and solution requirements, ensuring efficient delivery while also mentoring and improving technical skills within the Growth community.
In this sales role, you will contribute technical expertise to Intelligence proposals in partnership with the Commercial Enablement team to ensure alignment with customer needs and our product offerings, working in conjunction with the Product and Delivery teams. You will collaborate with the assigned technical authority on bids to shape solution architecture and provide guidance to both existing and new customers, addressing any questions or concerns regarding our product functionalities. Your insights will help identify opportunities for new product development and enhancements, driving profitability. Additionally, you will help create a seamless customer experience while supporting demonstration capabilities and development.
This position may be based in any US office and will report to the Intelligence Sales Operations Director.
Individual Accountabilities:

Pre-sales Technical Support: Provide direct assistance to Sales Executives and Account Management teams, serving as a technical author for bid solutions in collaboration with Product and Business Leads. Participate in pre-sales meetings, deliver technical presentations, and serve as the primary technical point of contact for pre-sales initiatives, contributing to our business development through exemplary solution demonstrations in the initial stages of the sales process.

Demonstration Development: Act as the primary liaison for Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales teams in creating product demonstrations. Tailor demo configurations to align seamlessly with prospective customers’ needs, emphasizing ease of use and product value. Utilize relevant resources across the Intelligence community while maintaining a high level of self-sufficiency. Enhance our demonstration toolkit for scalable bids and support partners in demonstration capabilities, working closely with the Ecosystem Director.

Conference and Event Participation: Actively represent Arcadis at solution-focused conferences and events, contributing to the company’s presence and participating in speaking engagements.

Solution Architecture Design: Translate customer requirements into an implementable solution design that aligns with the Intelligence product offerings, identifying customer needs that may not currently be met by our existing solutions. Collaborate with Product Managers and Solutions Owners to ensure that solution designs are deliverable within the parameters of the resources outlined in bids.
- Product Proposals: Collaborate with Solution Business Leads and Product Managers to inform their roadmaps based on insights gained from pre-sales and post-sales customer interactions, ensuring that customer feedback is effectively integrated into product and solution development.
Key Shared Accountabilities:
- Sales Upskilling: Collaborate with Sales Executives to provide training and cross-skilling opportunities, fostering a culture of learning and contributing to an Arcadis Skilled Powered Organization (SPO). By enhancing the skills of our sales workforce, you will facilitate additional capacity for client demonstrations and technical authoring in proposal responses, directly supporting key objectives such as value-based proposal submissions and a targeted growth rate of 60% over the next two years.
Qualifications & Experience:
We seek a technical professional capable of understanding the commercial, regulatory, and asset management engineering challenges that customer organizations face. You will identify how our digital products and services can effectively address these challenges in a compelling manner, ultimately securing new clientele and expanding our reach within existing accounts. This role entails some travel, primarily within the region, which may include visits to client locations or conferences.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the customer journey, sales cycle, and bid management processes.
- An understanding of the competitive landscape to develop effective demonstration capabilities that win business.
- A proven track record of creating and demonstrating solutions in the Asset Management domain, with the ability to articulate their value to diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- A blend of technical expertise with a customer-centric approach, acting as an ambassador for the benefits of digital solutions in asset management.
- Proven ability to produce bid materials for various technical audiences that directly address bid requirements and engage the reader.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IAM Certification or Diploma
- Experience in B2B Sales
- Background in Marketing
- Experience in Customer Success
- Knowledge of Asset Investment Planning
- Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management software
