Job description:
This sales position is responsible for delivering a range of industrial hardware directly to customers within a specified geographic territory through proactive cold-calling and prospecting efforts. Candidates must reside within the designated territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (additional responsibilities may be assigned)
– Cultivate new sales opportunities through thorough research, referrals, and by engaging with businesses located near existing customers.
– Conduct face-to-face meetings with both cold and warm sales prospects.
– Serve customers in accordance with the guidelines established in company training materials.
– Provide comprehensive and accurate daily business reports that detail sales orders and prospecting activities.
– Present products and services to current and prospective customers using sample boards, product demonstrations, and the mobile store.
– Ensure the cleanliness, operational efficacy, marketing, and overall functionality of the mobile store.
– Maintain up-to-date customer contact information utilizing company software, including customer notes, names, phone numbers, email addresses, and current physical addresses on a daily basis.
– Supply an approved, fully insured vehicle for purposes of mobile sales, covering the associated insurance, fuel, maintenance, and various technological tools required to effectively manage the assigned territory, including mobile devices such as tablets, iPads, and phones.
– Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance job-related skills continually.
– Undertake other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
– A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
– Prior experience in outside industrial sales is preferred, especially in route or industrial sales environments.
– A proven history of achieving sales goals.

Required Skills
– Exceptional analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Proficient in articulating ideas and information clearly through both written and verbal communication.
– Familiarity with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications.
– A working knowledge of the products we offer is advantageous.

Other Requirements
– Must be able to obtain or lease an approved vehicle for use as a mobile sales unit.
– Residency within the defined territory is required.
– An above-average mechanical interest is essential.

– Physical ability to kneel and bend regularly.
– A clean driving record is mandatory.
– Must conduct oneself in a professional manner while representing the company, whether driving an approved vehicle, wearing company attire, or participating in company functions.
