SUMMARY
As a Repair Technician, you will conduct basic inspections and perform diagnostic and mechanical services for automobiles and light trucks, ensuring excellent customer service while adhering to safety regulations when operating machinery, equipment, and tools. In addition, you will manage inventory by requisitioning stock and supplies, as well as assist with facility maintenance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Utilize tire balancing equipment and tire machines for mounting and balancing tires, performing flat repairs, conducting tire rotations, and running diagnostic tests to assess tire wear and vibration.
  • Build and uphold knowledge of tire lines to effectively manage inventory tasks including procedures, stock inquiries, and shipping and receiving.
  • Execute LOF and visual inspections, covering under-hood, under-car, and wheel-off checks.
  • Perform basic removal and replacement tasks such as battery installations, filter replacements, wiper blade changes, headlamp, and small bulb replacements.
  • Conduct alignments and flush cooling systems, power steering, and transmission systems using appropriate equipment.
  • Execute basic diagnostics by identifying noise or vibration issues following road tests.
  • Contribute to facility maintenance by adhering to proper opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and undertaking general maintenance tasks.

EQUIPMENT/TOOLS
Must operate various equipment safely and efficiently, including tire machines, balancers, lube equipment, flat repair tools, lifts, impact guns, torque wrenches, tread depth gauges, grinders/wire wheels, micrometers, flush machines, torches, alignment racks, and any additional equipment necessary to fulfill the role of Tire & Alignment Technician.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS
