Responsibilities

• Programming

  • Facilitate engaging parent-child interactive activities.
  • Lead age-appropriate play activities utilizing our uniquely designed play equipment, which includes songs, parachute play, and bubbles.
  • Prepare and execute lesson plans conforming to the Gymboree curriculum.
  • Take charge of leading birthday parties as needed.
  • Additional programming opportunities may be available for qualified candidates.

• Sales and Customer Service

  • Leverage the features and benefits of Gymboree to inform and sell enrollments, merchandise, birthday parties, and special events to both new and existing customers.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls, while greeting and assisting customers with exceptional service.
  • Participate in off-site grassroots events such as Mom 2 Mom sales and special events.
• Operations
  • Utilize an online database management system and navigate through client records with a basic understanding of our internal systems.
  • Attend designated staff meetings and training sessions regularly.
  • Uphold site standards, including but not limited to cleaning and disinfecting equipment and props, restocking merchandise, and assisting with equipment setup and changes.
  • Note: Gymboree Play & Music provides comprehensive training for all staff members.

Key Skills and Traits

• Prior experience working with children aged newborn to five years is preferred.
• A degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred but not a prerequisite.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities within group settings.
• Experience in public speaking or performance is advantageous.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Moderate computer proficiency and strong phone communication skills are necessary.

Hours
Part-time positions are available, and all schedules will be considered. This is a permanent role that mandates extensive training; therefore, we are seeking serious applicants only. A flexible schedule is required, with classes typically held on weekdays from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM and on weekends. Availability on Saturdays for teaching classes and on Sundays for birthday parties is a must.
