Job description:
Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $19 per hour.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with experience in chemical handling or backgrounds in lead or quality control positions will be given preference.
Your Role:
We are searching for a highly motivated self-starter who is committed to delivering exceptional products to our customers by meticulously adhering to established procedures and standards in every aspect of their work. The Packaging Operator will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to, receiving materials and components, packaging products, warehousing, and shipping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document activities accurately and maintain a clean working environment.
- Unload procured materials from delivery vehicles, inspect them for quality defects, and label them with system-generated labels.
- Conduct material identification testing and generate appropriate reports.
- Move and stage materials, components, and utensils utilizing electric walk-behind tow motors and manual pallet jacks.
- Generate records and labels using approved master templates.
- Precisely portion chemicals (e.g., amino acids) into containers, strictly following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch record instructions.
- Collect samples for Quality Control (QC) testing.
- Clean and label finished goods containers.
- Perform material and product inspections as well as room clearances.
- Box, palletize, and wrap finished goods for shipment.
- Load delivery vehicles with pallets of finished goods using an electric walk-behind tow motor.
- Complete required documentation (e.g., batch records, logbooks, forms) in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and adhere to ALCOA principles (accurate, legible, contemporaneous, original, attributable).
- Execute SAP transactions as required.
- Promptly report discrepancies, deviations, and abnormalities to management, while also assisting in the determination of root causes and necessary corrective actions.
- Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), and utensils.
- Actively contribute to a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, suggesting improvements, coaching peers on safety protocols, and striving for an incident-free work environment.
- Participate in company-sponsored training and complete electronic training within the designated timeframe.
- Maintain a positive attitude while effectively collaborating with peers and management, being receptive to constructive feedback, and demonstrating a commitment to problem-solving and learning.
