Position Overview: Valet Attendant
As a Valet Attendant at MGM Resorts International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy an exceptional experience by providing safe and professional parking services. By understanding each guest’s unique story and needs, you will create memorable moments that extend beyond their stay.
Starting Rate: $15.54 per hour, plus tips
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all arriving guests warmly at the Valet Entrance, providing courteous, efficient, and engaging valet services.
- Collect vehicle claim checks and retrieve guest vehicles promptly for their departure.
- Assist guests in need of special accommodations.
- Report any issues or potential problems to security or your immediate supervisor to prevent traffic congestion and delays at the valet entrance.
- Regulate the movement and flow of vehicles to ensure an efficient valet operation.
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel registration, dining options, events, activities, and attractions.
- Resolve guest concerns within your authority and escalate to a supervisor when necessary.
- Report any claims of theft or missing items to your supervisor and/or hotel security for further investigation.
- Assist bell staff with luggage movement as needed.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Strong perception and awareness of individual guest needs, with the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally.
- Proficient in computer applications including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as knowledge of office equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of functioning effectively under time constraints while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong listening and judgment skills.
- Familiarity with accommodations, room capacities, and hotel amenities.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all business contacts.
