Basic Job Functions:
The Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in our team, actively participating in our culture while prioritizing customer care. The responsibilities include establishing and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with customers and teammates, as well as supporting business development initiatives with steel fabricators, engineers, architects, and others. They will ensure that the highest standards of service are upheld through professional, informative, and responsive communication (both written and verbal) with internal and external customers. Additionally, Sales Representatives will be responsible for accurately estimating joist and deck requirements from contract documents, while also assisting in the coordination of engineering, fabrication, and delivery of our products.

Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor. Therefore, candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and maintain safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience interpreting structural contract drawings
  • Proficiency in personal computer applications, including Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in reading architectural and structural drawings, as well as project specifications, with a solid understanding of the construction process
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Willingness to relocate to a Nucor facility or District Sales Office in the future
