Job description:

Shift: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30 PM until completion.
Pay Rate: $21.36 per hour (inclusive of shift differential).

This includes the warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, as well as demand, supply, and manufacturing planning.

Job Summary
The Associate II in Warehouse Operations assists with inbound or outbound activities as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. Responsibilities include receiving products in the inbound section and shipping products in the outbound section.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working at heights of 20-30 feet on a regular basis.
  • Previous experience with material handling equipment (PIT) is preferred.
  • Experience with radio frequency (RF) scanners and/or voice-to-pick systems is highly preferred.
  • Must be available for overtime with minimal notice.
  • Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate through various areas of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for order processing, including accurate picking, conducting quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow directions and adapt priorities while working independently or as part of a team.
  • Pick large case items using material handling equipment or select smaller items to place on designated carts.
  • Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and actively participate in projects as needed.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to receive and dispatch products.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required, including order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.
  • Maintain housekeeping and inventory control tasks, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
  • Handle routine assignments that involve problem resolution.
  • Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
  • Comply with site safety regulations, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed safety shoes and safety harnesses; adhere to Cardinal Health’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality Risk Assessment (QRA) policies and procedures.
