KBS is seeking motivated and energetic General Warehouse Associates (Corrugate Recyclers) to join our team in Romulus, MI, for immediate full-time, permanent positions. The primary responsibility of these roles is to effectively meet and exceed customer expectations through the efficient pick-up and removal of corrugate gondolas throughout the facility. Job Overview

Pay Rate: Up to $16.00/hour

As a member of the KBS team, you will provide cleaning and janitorial services within large fulfillment centers. Suggested work schedules include either Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday, with the following shift options:

  • Day Shift: 5 AM to 4 PM or 7 AM to 6 PM
  • Night Shift: 5 PM to 4 AM or 7 PM to 6 AM

In the role of General Warehouse Associate (Corrugate Recycler), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating a manual pallet jack to pick up full gondolas (large trash boxes/bins) and replacing them with empty gondolas in assigned areas.
  • Transporting and placing full corrugate gondolas into the balers or compactors located in designated areas within the warehouse (training will be provided).
  • Ensuring that areas surrounding all gondolas remain free of debris and trash.
  • Dusting, mopping, and sweeping around trash receptacle areas to maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas.
  • Keeping traffic areas (“Green Mile” walking paths) free of debris to ensure safety for all employees.
  • Maintaining tidiness in Auger/Baler/Compactor areas.
  • Performing other janitorial duties as assigned.

Requirements for the General Warehouse Associate / Corrugate Recycler Positions:

  • Ability to utilize a manual pallet jack to lift and move gondolas weighing over 75 lbs.
  • Capacity to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both above and below waist level.
  • Proficient in pushing and pulling manual pallet jacks loaded with trash/cardboard consistently.
  • Frequent walking throughout the facility during the entire shift.
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for up to 10-12 hours.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test is required.
