Position Description: Ryder is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Permanent Full-Time Warehouse Associate in Bay City, Michigan.
Warehouse Positions Offer Competitive Compensation:
– Hourly Pay: $21.00 per hour
– Work Schedule: First Shift, Wednesday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent preferred
– At least six months of related warehouse experience required; one or more years preferred
– Familiarity with and ability to operate powered industrial trucks, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks; intermediate level required for operation and maintenance
– Capable of operating manual and/or automated warehouse equipment, such as packaging lines; intermediate level preferred
– Valid powered industrial truck certification
– Proficient in reading and performing basic mathematics in English, essential for safety protocols and work instructions
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
– Competence in entering data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
– Willingness to work overtime as assigned
– Strong interpersonal skills to build professional relationships across the organization
– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
– Flexibility and self-motivation to excel in a fast-paced environment
– Capacity to manage multiple tasks with strong organizational and time management skills
– Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Responsibilities include:
– Packaging, kitting, and assembling orders and materials.
– Loading and unloading trailers, ensuring accurate scanning procedures are followed.
– Training dock employees on new protocols, ensuring facility security at the end of shifts.
– Investigating and resolving scanning and housekeeping issues.
– Conducting picking and packing duties, while assessing product and container damage.
– Adhering to established location policies and procedures while performing assigned tasks.
– Performing material moves in compliance with physical and logical transactions as needed.
– Participating in teamwork and self-improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations.
– Maintaining housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
– Completing other duties as assigned.
