The Warehouse Manager is a strategically focused leader responsible for optimizing shipping, warehousing, receiving, stocking, and logistics operations. This role is essential in driving operational efficiency and implementing best practices that align with HSC’s strategic objectives. The Warehouse Manager will ensure that Stock, Shipping, Receiving, and Material Handler Teams are in sync with HSC and Supply Chain and Logistics priorities through effective team development, training, problem-solving, and solution implementation. Responsibilities will encompass safety, environmental management, personnel management, training adherence, standard operating procedures, maintenance, budget oversight, sales order fulfillment, hazardous material shipping, and MROS inventory management.
Essential Functions:
- Provide coaching and mentorship to the Warehouse and Logistics team, fostering a culture of performance excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for warehouse and logistics operations, establishing clear priorities, goals, objectives, and KPIs that align with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Site manufacturing goals. Drive the completion of team objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including logistics, procurement, customer service, production planning, maintenance, and scheduling—to enhance supply chain processes and MROS inventory management, ensuring seamless integration across site functions.
- Advance safety performance and awareness within the team by leading Safety initiatives, including maintenance planning, audit compliance with Safety Management Systems, and development of Emergency Response Procedures, while maintaining an exemplary working environment.
- Enhance environmental compliance and awareness through process changes that mitigate environmental risks and promote the HSC Responsible Care Program (RMP).
- Analyze MROS inventory and logistics performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities, strategically implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
- Apply lean principles and best practices to streamline operations, eliminate waste, and improve overall effectiveness.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including cycle counting and stock replenishment strategies, in collaboration with Production Planning and Scheduling Teams, to ensure optimal inventory levels and mitigate stockouts.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to hazardous materials shipping and warehouse operations while recommending innovative solutions to enhance compliance and performance.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and customers to foster effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure that operations comply with the standards outlined in the HSC Quality Manual, including adherence to ISO-9001: 2000 standards and maintenance of accurate SOPs and audit compliance.
- Communicate and enforce policies in the Site Policy Manual, promoting employee rewards, career development, skill assessments, and appropriate delegation of responsibilities.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive training programs for the Warehouse and Logistics organization.
- Support all maintenance and shutdown planning initiatives.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements in materials and procedures to enhance equipment reliability and minimize maintenance needs.
- Manage building-related expenses utilizing the SAP accounting module to remain within budgetary constraints, reporting any out-of-control incidents to the Supply and Logistics Manager.
Additional Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage and strategize long-term planning and project loads within Stock, Receiving, and Shipping warehouse facilities to meet production objectives while maintaining safety and environmental standards.
- Remain informed about building performance relative to production deliverables and communicate status effectively.
- Align the Building Team with various departmental teams, including Planning and Scheduling, Customer Service, Procurement, Production, and Maintenance.

Required Work Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years in Manufacturing, Plant Engineering, Process Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or Supply Chain roles.
Environment/Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based work with occasional time spent at off-site warehousing locations and various Finishing buildings.
- Potential process hazards including pinch points and dust/particulates; awareness of exposure to acids is necessary.
Minimum Required Education/Certification:
- A four (4) year technical degree in Engineering or Supply Chain is strongly preferred.
The salary range for this position is $107,200.00 – $147,400.00 based on full-time status. The compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, including market demands, experience, training, and education.
